This is Carson,
He is smart.

Please keep us in your prayers tomorrow (Wednesday) We are heading back to la (feel like I was just there) Carson is scheduled for a ct scan, and then a follow up with the neurosurgeon to monitor the hydrocephalus.

Cast away!

 Well, today we brought a heavier boy home from La.

  

Was it the green beans he ate for lunch???

 

No, it's those new white socks. :) As seen on tv. 

 

Carson is wearing his very first casts. These casts will be the first of many (5-10 ) They are called Ponseti's Their purpose is to correct clubbed feet. Although, we will have to learn some new tricks and adjust, Carson doesn't seem to mind them at all. (He matters most)

Snapshot Saturday--- getting well!

Carson had a yucky cold this week.
                                                   He showed some disinterest in his toys.

                                                                 Was more snuggly

                                                                           and tired.

But even through many encounters with the hated bulb syringe, he has been such a good boy- In all truth, most times after he sneezes or coughs, He gives a big smile.

 

               At therapy this week- His teacher was very pleased with how well he has been doing.

      He is able to lift himself up on to his elbows, and also hold himself in a crawling stance. His Oma was very
                                               proud of him, and he enjoyed the praise from her.

This coming week we will be seeing the orthopedist and start the ponseti casting to correct his clubbed feet. He will also be having another ct scan to check his hydrocephalus level. Please keep us in your prayers.

We're home!!!

We are home!!! Carson is doing fantastic!! Groggy and a little sore but, well! Thank you all for your prayers. Poor little guy got poked and poked all over his arms to find a good vein for the iv, it finally ended up in his head. The dr. wasnt able to scope his right side to see if a hernia repair was necessary there as well, so that may be necessary further down the road. For now~!!! We are so proud of our tough little man.

Carson just headed back for his surgery, and as a mommy I couldn't be more proud of my little man.

Carson had his last meal at 5:45am, at 11:45-- he was still smiling!!!! I know that is answered prayer. Please continue praying for Carson as he now approaches his surgery.

Hi Ya'll!!!
We are doing very well!! We hope that you are too!! 

Carson has had some pretty big and exciting events in the last week.
1. He started cereal, and boy, oh boy he loves it. I have only been giving him a very small amount, heavily milked down once a day, well now after every feeding he gives me a look and moves his hands up to his mouth... it's so cute. And so far,very good  results from the cereal.

 
2. He started in home therapy!!!!! And it is therapy. I am so pleased and excited. His teacher (Abigail) is fantastic!!! She has already showed me several exercises that can be done to start working on reconnecting the nerves in Carson's legs.

3. (My favorite) Carson laughs :) Oh, how wonderful it is to hear.

Please be in prayer for us---- Carson's hernia repair is on Thursday down in La.
