I realized that I left you all hanging for the results of Carson's assessment. Sorry. He qualified. On March 3 he will have his first therapy session. At this point we are not entirely sure what all this means, and if it is what we were hoping for . We would definitely like physical therapy and we may have to fight a little harder for it, so please keep that in prayer. Other news is Carson had a check-up the other day with his pediatrician and his current weight is 13 lbs. 8 oz.
Again I'd like to mention that every Tuesday I (Karen) am a guest blogger on the Spina Bifida Kids website. This website is for parents raisng kids with Spina Bifida. I'd like to share with you my most recent post.
Carson is 3 months old. He loves to eat, and he loves to be held. He hates to take naps,
He hates having his diaper changed, and he hates baths. He has good moments and horrible
moments with the carseat, mostly bad if it's just me in the car and I'm trying to run an errand.
He doesn't understand why I won't let him eat all day, or why I can't hold him when he's not
eating. He smiles, and oh how his smile.....

I just wanted to hop on and ask for your prayers. Tomorrow, Carson will be having his assessment by the early intervention program for therapy. This is a program provided by our local school district- the program focuses on providing children with disabilities the care and the items they need to overcome those disabilities. I am so excited to get him started on some therapy, but we do have to qualify. So please pray that we do, and let's start praying for the therapy. Thank you all!
February 11- Carson's 3 month birthday. I cannot believe that it has already been 3 months. Here he is putting on a show of his cuteness.
February 13- Carson finally got to meet his Grandpa face to face. My daddy has suffered the last several years with paralysis and other weaknesses due to multiple strokes. This was a very sweet time together, finally.
February 14- Carson's first Valentines day--- I (mom) was his Valentine, even though he got alot of kisses from other people :)
We are so thankful for these special memories. Carson is constantly reminding me that God is good. Always. Sometimes things aren't what we would have planned or how we would like, but things are always right as they should be with God in control. His way really is perfect, and so rewarding. Please keep my family in your prayers. Another "not what we would like" has happened, and my heart is heavy tonight. Thank you! Lots of love from us to you. Happy Valentines day!!!
So my brother, who is about to be a dad himself!!!!! doesn't think that sweater vests are cute. :) I think that these will change his mind, especially this last one. Here you are Toto. My little man knows how to make sweater vests look good!! Please keep Carson in your prayers. He has a really nasty cold. It's not fun at all.
I just wanted to hop on real fast and brag. Yep, I'm a proud mommy and now I'm going to brag about my wonderful, and amazing little man. The cutest and bestest little man on this whole earth. Carson is almost three months... oh my it's gone too fast... He is already sleeping between 6-9 hrs straight at night. He smiles, He coos, He loves looking at pictures and videos of himself. Now, the topper, at night when I take him to bed, he's groggy but still awake.. all I say is, "night- night time Carson, time to go night- night." The boy will close his eyes and go to sleep. WOO-WEE!!!! I love my baby boy!!!!
I love both of these cute men, and am so blessed. I could go on and on bragging about the handsome man in the orange, He is so much more than wonderful...The best husband and best father. I can't enough pics of these two. Oh and he sleeps through the night too. :)
