Surgery success!

I've seen the Lord work in my life time and time again. I have felt his  presence and seen His hand. And yet, I am still suprised a bit when He answers prayer. Why this is I am not sure, but I am certain that I am humbled he would care for us as He does. And I am ever grateful for his goodness.
Carson's surgeries were a complete success- from start to finish- and he did amazing through each and every step. We are home, and though he is still groggy he is still smiling. We are too. knowing that God answered our prayers and blessed the day.

Thank you Lord for our precious baby boy
Who keeps a smile on his face

Finds pleasure in the smaller things
never worries himself out of sleep
Makes me laugh when I'm on the verge of tears
Holds me closer than I'm holding him
Trusts always
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths."--- Proverbs 3:5,6

Surgery--- Round 2 and some fun!

This is why I can trust that the Lord is in control
God is so good
He answers prayers

He gives us joy

Hello everyone!
I know that I am way behind on posts and I do apologize for that. I will be updating some previous GREAT things that have happened lately as soon as I can figure out how. :) Today though I wanted to throw up some recent pictures of Carson's cuteness ( we should rename the blog that, shouldn't we? ) I also wanted to ask that you all be in prayer for Carson's hernia re-repair/ glorified circumcision tomorrow. Please pray for the surgeries to be successful and also that the Lord has his hand in all the proceedings (before, during, after) Thank you so much for your loving support and your prayers. I will post an update tomorrow evening.

Did you just eat my rib?

Daddy was in here before us.

Ready for church

Carson's thoughts

.

Mommy is ready for bed-- it's almost 10--- Carson what do you think?

How about bath time?

Well what about your first fireworks show?
 How about eating???
 What about Simone?

Well-- His opinions I believe are pretty well expressed. :) We are having a blast and hope that you are too! Please keep Carson and us in your prayers. We have a new mountain to climb--- The ortho. wants Carson to wear his hip brace 24/7 (yuck) now. This is hard both on him and on us; but we will adjust and I am sure forget that it's there in time. Please pray that this will correct his misplaced hip and that he will not need to have the correction surgery. Also, July 27 is the date for his hernia re-repair. Please pray that this second attempt is completely successful.  Love and thank you's to those who continue to pray for our little man. God bless!!!!

Carson goes to camp. Oh we went too.

Well we have returned from a WONDERFUL week in the beautiful, colorful, cool- sunny shiny Colorado Rockies. With Bob being the youth director we approach each year at youth camp with some fear and trembling..with worry. And this year, I began that worry process months ahead just knowing that we were taking a baby to camp for the first time. But... like always God was so good and so in control. The week was so refreshing and so needed. The messages revolved around what God has done for us, and how much he cares and have given for us. The song which we sang nearly every service was

Give them all, Give them all, Give them all to Jesus
Shattered dreams, wounded hearts, broken toys
Give them all, Give them all, Give them all to Jesus
And He will turn your sorrows into joy.

One day I will remember I dont need to worry--- just trust. :)

I worried about the plane flight...

I worried about how he would do with the change in his schedule (eating and sleeping)

I worried about how he would do during the preaching services

But----  Carson had a great time, and he did so very well.
Whether it was meeting new people

Or going new places (inside joke)
He just, in his usual way, made our time together even more wonderful and more aware of how good God is.
