Easter 2013

Christ Jesus is Alive! As Christians Easter is all about celebrating the resuurection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.... We know that He conquered death, and sin, and lives!! This year I worked at teaching the boys what Easter is about. I kept telling them about Christ dying for ours sins, and being buried, and rising again. I taught them to yell "Jesus is Alive!" Of course they love to yell, so this became a pretty fun game, and both Silas and Carson would yell as loud as they could. I also taught the boys the song,

Alive, alive, alive forevermore.
My Jesus is alive, alive forevermore.
Alive, alive, alive forevermore.
My Jesus is alive.

Sing alleluia, sing alleluia,
My Jesus is alive forevermore.
Sing alleluia, sing alleluia
My Jesus is alive.

What a sweet blessing to hear them singing this beautiful song. Carson was even singing it during naptime. This Easter I was constantly remembering last weekend and the scary seizure... It was heavy on my mind. I honestly feel that if Carson had remained seizing in his bed unnoticed he would have suffocated. When we found him he was face down and blue. He seized for another 15 minutes.... By the Lord's protective hand we found him and by a miracle to me Carson is totally fine. I appreciated this Easter more. As I heard Carson sing, and shout Jesus is alive!!! Another favorite Easter song is.

I serve a risen Savior, he's in the world today;
I know that he is living whatever men may say;
I see his hand of mercy; I hear his voice of cheer,
And just the time I need him, he's always near.

Chorus:
He lives, he lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way.
He lives, he lives, salvation to impart!
You ask my how I know he lives?
He lives within my heart.

Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,
Lift up your voice and sing.
Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the king!
The hope of all who seek him,
The help of all who find,
None other is so loving, so good and kind.

We felt His presence once again last week! We saw His hand of mercy, We felt his voice of cheer, and just the time we needed Him He was most certainly near!!!!

Because HE is alive! Think of His power- He conquered death and rose again. This assures me HE can conquer any thing in my life that I may find difficult! Think of his sacrifice for me. He died for me, and not just a easy, simple death. NO! A very agonizing, painful death. HE did it out of love for me. If He loves me enough to die for me I can certainly trust Him to care for me and to see me through any trial, or difficulty.

Praise, Praise His name!

Every day I can remember and celebrate His ressurection! Every day I can appreciate His gifts to me, every day I can feel his presence, and His power.... EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!

Practicing for Easter pictures. :)
The baskets were ready!!!

Easter morning!!!
WERE SO BLESSED!!!!

did not want his picture taken ... I tried and tried to get him to sit. :) He wanted to run!!!
All together now! :)
Always a ladies man!

The hunt is on!!!!

Her first Easter basket--- Cinderella, snacks, a toy car (Pink might I add), cute outfits!

I couldn't stop taking pictures... she was so enthralled by the movie, and the snacks. :) (definitely a mommy's girl)

Silas missed the Egg hunt the day before. Poor little guy is working on 5 teeth right now!!!! Unbelievable the little guy has been so slow at getting teeth... Remember his first birthday pictures. He had that adorable jagged teeth smile. He had 3 on top (with a gap) and 2 on bottom. :) Well before this latest bout he had his molars,  4 on top, and only 3 on bottom.... All of a sudden!!!! he's filling in the gaps and getting 5 at the same time.... Needless to say, we ate lunch, he needed some tylenol, and a nap. He got to do his Egg hunt on Monday!!!! HE had so much fun! This really was his first Egg hunt. He did it all by himself, and was so good at it!!!!

I loved watching him run around and find eggs.... I almost cried watching him run. Daddy would push Carson around and the two of them would then race after a egg. I almost cried except for the fact that they had so much fun together!!
Abbey even got in the action of egg hunting

In the middle of the hunt Silas got distracted by dirt. :) Not a suprise!!!

So excited!!! This egg had a treat inside. :)

So much fun doing it together!!! :)

I got Bob with a April Fools joke!!! Here's a plate of Brown "E's"

You know, How can we not just praise the Lord for all His blessings!!!

Love from our corner to yours!!!
