Summer

So Its really been a long long time since I have given any kind of a post. I thought about it.... multiple times... Just in case that counts. :) Anyway.... Its summertime!!!!!! I suppose my overwhelming excitement goes back to my school days (both as a student and a teacher) summer is special... extra special.  This summer has been so much fun and so full of precious memories. It is children that add the memories to our lives. Those precious messy faces and sticky fingers. This summer we made it a priority to make memories. From pinterest I found a idea to make a summer fun list... Such a great idea. We have had so much fun in mostly simple ways just because we purposed to. It really hit me hard this summer that time is precious. Multiple times this summer I read about, or knew a family who lost their child. Yes, I am a mommy who struggles with busy and chaos and my hands are full. Beyond full...But I am devoted to remembering that my full hands are FULL of BLESSINGS!!!

So since its been so long since I updated I'm gonna just dive in!

We had friends and family join us as we all found out that we were expecting .... 

A Girl!!!!! My sweet friend Laura made us this precious cake., and while there were a million reasons to just have all boys and we would have been more than happy with boy/girl we  are so thrilled  to be  having a girl.  

Carson's reaction to me telling him were having a sister. :) 

Although still very exciting... The gender party is pretty old news. :) Just had to put these pictures in so that I have them to keep.

Onto summer fun.

A sweet friend's wedding. They asked me long ago if Carson would be their ringbearer. Of course ! and we were so excited for him...... However..... He got sick the day of the rehearsal. :( We threw in our pitch hitter and he got sick during the wedding..... awww the memories. 

But he looked sooo cute. :)

And she of course was more gorgeous than imagineable. Congratulations again Bek and Chard.

Summer has been full of reading books and night-time sing alongs.

We finally got our backyard done!!!!!! Big WOO-HOO and many nights have been spent sitting out and enjoying it together.

We got a pool!!!!! 

Baseball season has not been forgotten. And Carson will specifically ask for his hat, glove, shoes, oh  and usually his shirt. 

Speaking of shirts.... you will see that 90% of the time Carson is wearing a Mickey shirt. This is essential. He loves Mickey Mouse. Here we are making a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. This summer Carson has really improved in his speech!!!! In fact he talks so well now that he is able to ask me just about daily if we can go to Disneyland. He also told me that he wanted to go in August.  :)

The summer has brought several flu bugs... ??????.... 105 degrees outside and the flu. This picture was taken because it melted my heart. Silas was sick... Carson insisted that I sit him on the couch next to silas and he insisted that they have their Mickeys and they watch Mickey mouse clubhouse together. He kept saying" Oh So sorry Silas... I help you." 

He told daddy to sit by him just like this...

no summer would be complete without a whole lot of corn-eating. :)

And finally just this last weekend we celebrated the soon arrival of Miss Elise with a game of Diaper Bunco. The party went nothing like I had anticipated and I completely forgot to take any pictures. I am sooo very disappointed. I grabbed just a few while we were cleaning up. Planning for a girl has been so much fun... We are now only 5 weeks away from her arrival.

That about wraps it up around our house. Still have several more summer fun ideas we plan to squeeze in the next few weeks, and alot more preparations for baby to be done. Please keep us in prayer.... Its always busy and its getting busier.  Lots of love from our corner to yours!
